GHS Bass Pressurewound Bronze

GHS Pressurewound Bronze strings are an exciting development. The final cover is run through precision rollers during the winding process, slightly flattening the wrap. This process results in the first phosphor bronze bass string that does not have harsh and abrasive overtones and finger noise, just a smooth mid-focused sound.

Pressurewound Bronze are also designed in such a way that they also work well with electric basses.

A nice change of pace

Dave Ivy on 7th Jan 2019

I've enjoyed using GHS Brite Flats on my Basses for decades (frankly, since shortly after I started playing in the late 1970s), mostly in a size larger than these. But after reading about GHS' Pressurewound Bronze Strings for Basses on their website and listening to demo videos as well, I decided to give them a try. I'm glad I did - they're as comfortable on both hands as Brite Flats, nicely responsive with a good clear tone, and on my natural brown Ibanez BTB555, look good too. I play mostly for a church praise band, an alumni drumline, and musicals - these strings are going to work well for all three.
